Teaching Against the Stream: Strategic Advice for Teaching Art in Difficult Times From a Panel of Distinguished Fellows

A panel of Distinguished Fellows will consider tensions, challenges, and potentialities of teaching in a climate of social and political unrest. Suggestions for practices that calm anxieties and address students' social needs through creative activity will be offered and practical concerns of teachers addressed. Following a panelist discussion of the perils and potentials of teaching amid difficult times, audience questions, sharings, and debates of strategies for positive change will be invited.
