Britannica & North Carolina: Deeper Dive into Learning Together

Tuesday 10 February 2026·8:00 pm

North Carolina educators already have access to a powerful set of trusted, classroom-ready resources through Britannica School and Britannica Escolar. This extended session is designed to help you move beyond awareness and into confident, intentional use of what’s already available. During this interactive 45-minute session, we’ll explore practical ways educators are using Britannica’s fact-checked content, built-in research supports, and instructional resources to help students ask better questions, evaluate information thoughtfully, and engage more deeply with content across subjects. We’ll take a closer look at: -ASK Britannica, an AI-powered research companion available in the Britannica School High level that allows students to explore topics through natural questions while grounding every response in verified Britannica content. We’ll discuss how this tool models a responsible approach to AI by supporting inquiry and comprehension without generating essays or replacing student thinking. -Britannica Escolar, including its recently refreshed interface and expanded culturally relevant Spanish-language content, and how educators are using it to support multilingual learners and inclusive instruction. -Teach Britannica, a free educator resource hub featuring instructional strategies, graphic organizers, bell ringers, and classroom activities that make it easy to turn trusted content into meaningful learning experiences. Throughout the session, we’ll connect these tools to a broader conversation about responsible AI in education and how trusted content, transparency, and teacher guidance help ensure technology enhances learning rather than shortcuts it. You’ll see examples of how educators are setting clear expectations, designing inquiry-driven tasks, and using technology in ways that strengthen critical thinking and academic integrity. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to deepen your use of these resources, you’ll leave with practical ideas you can use right away, a clearer understanding of how Britannica’s tools work together, and confidence in how trusted
