Elevating ELA Instruction: CustomGPTs Aligned to NCDPI Standards and Literacy Priorities

Discover how AI can tightly align lesson design to NC standards and aligned resources through the creation of CustomGPTs. Presented in collaboration with the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL), this interactive session demonstrates best practices for developing and using aligned CustomGPTs that support instructional coherence and rigor. Participants will explore key ELA instructional priorities including text complexity and integrated models of literacy, then use the ELA Standards Coach CustomGPT to plan a lesson or unit of study. Participants will identify practical ways to leverage CustomGPTs to enhance instructional alignment, deepen implementation of text complexity and integrated literacy across reading, listening, writing, and speaking, and ensure fidelity to North Carolina’s academic standards
