Communication with Disregulated Parents to Build Relationships
Part of NCTCA 2026
Friday 6 February 2026·6:30 pm
We have all experienced disregulated people in our careers that we have had to find ways to work with whether it be parents, community members, colleagues, admin, etc. This presentation looks at changing our perspective on how we go into conversations with our "difficult" people and looks at how a shift in perspective can possibly open the door to positive relationships even while dealing with "flipped lids" or strong differences of opinion. You will have a chance to think back on your own practices while at the same time getting tips that will help you reflect on the things you may unintentionally be doing to contribute to the problem.
