Developing A High Performance Mindset
This session will examine the best ideas and resources available on building discipline, dealing with adversity, and accomplishing goals. The session will focus on how to develop a high performance mindset by delving into a range of strategies and skills for students, student athletes, teachers, leaders and coaches. Performance psychology concepts that will be discussed include neutral vs positive thinking, elements of the Stoic mindset, process vs outcome thinking and habit development. This session will also provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on their current practices when it comes to their own mental development and how they can foster growth and development with the students and colleagues that they work with. The goal of this session is to inspire teachers, leaders, and coaches with new ways of developing a high performance mentality.
