YOU NEED TO PURCHASE AN EVENTBRITE TICKET TO ATTEND THIS SESSION. Purchase you Eventbrite ticket here! Price: $5.00 Capacity: 30 ***Please be aware: anyone who has marked this session on their schedule without purchasing an Eventbrite ticket will be removed.*** Course participants will create an ornament that could review the concepts and terminology in circles and angles. While these can be made of a few different materials, for this we will use clear plastic so the maker can see all the different 'parts' and how they might interact with one another. This activity can give your students the opportunity to represent a variety of different concepts within the math curriculum in a fun and creative way. These ornaments will allow your students to truly visualize the beauty of circle geometry and beyond. Because this project involves a different entry point into the subject matter, this is a project than can even build connections to other course work. Participants may tailor their own ornaments accordingly, and focus on their units of study as well as the materials they choose based on their individual classroom circumstances. A variety of multi-media building materials will be used, including collage!
