Projectile motion is an essential component of any physics education and lends itself to a number of entertaining and engaging demonstrations. In this session, Ian will showcase several projectile motion machines he has constructed and highlight how they can be used to aid instruction. He will also provide detailed instructions on how to build a low-cost air cannon that launches projectiles with high precision and then explore a variety of pedagogical applications of these types of devices in physics and science classes. This session is sure to go out with a bang!
