Part of NCTCA 2026
Friday 6 February 2026·9:00 pm

Overview: Get ready to play, laugh, and learn in this fast-paced, hands-on session where you become the student! Join Jason Zackowski for a teacher-tested and student-approved game that turns one of biology’s trickiest topics—cell structure and function—into a competitive game. In The Cell Game we race to build the biggest, most functional cell by collecting and assembling organelles—each with its own unique powers and purposes. Along the way, you’ll dive into the “why” behind each part of the cell, discover clever teaching strategies to reinforce content, and pick up classroom management tips for guiding this high-energy activity. Best of all? You’ll get to play it yourself!
