Writing to Heal Us
Part of NCTCA 2026
Thursday 5 February 2026·7:45 pm
The creative practice of writing can offer us healing and an improved feeling of wellness, but only if we learn to let go of perfectionism. In this session, we’ll work through how hard it can be to worry about offending others with what we have to say. We’ll practice intuitive courage when learning to use our unique literary voice. We’ll discuss how to generate ideas for fiction and creative nonfiction. If you teach creative writing, or you’ve longed to write yourself, this encouraging and motivating session is for you.
