Algebra tiles 1.0 Grades 8-10
Thursday 19 February 2026·8:00 pm
Through modelling and guided practice, participants will explore how algebra tiles support effective math instruction in junior high and high school classrooms. Instruction will begin with algebraic expressions and linear equations, then progress to multiplication of polynomials. Participants will experience and build conceptual understanding through visual and hands-on representations using algebra tiles to model operations, and connect concrete representations to symbolic algebra.
