Building Strong Foundations: Mentoring Early Childhood Educators for Success
Mentoring is an important part of helping new early childhood educators grow in their role and feel supported. In this interactive session, educators will learn simple and effective ways to mentor new teachers using real examples and tools they can use right away. The session will focus on building strong relationships, giving helpful feedback, and encouraging reflection. Participants will work in small groups, talk through real-life situations. Research shows that strong mentoring improves teaching practices and helps retain early childhood educators (Whitebook et al., 2016). This session is great for teachers, administrators, instructional coaches, and program leaders who want to guide and support new educators in meaningful ways.
