Merging basketball ball-handling drills with beat-driven music is guaranteed to engage all students- both those who love to move to music, as well as those who only want to play ball. Basketball & Beatz is designed to build both sport-specific skills and rhythmic competency in elementary students. This session demonstrates how rhythm training enhances timing, coordination, and auditory processing while reinforcing key gameplay fundamentals like ball control, spatial awareness, and decision-making. Participants will explore adaptable activities that engage students who may be reluctant to dance, offering an inclusive approach to teaching rhythm in a sport-based context.
