Let’s Talk! What’s Your Why?

At last year’s conference, this session for health educators in grades 7-12 provided an opportunity to reflect on the many decisions we make about our professional practices. Let’s continue that conversation! Examples of topics to discuss might include accepting late work, counting missing assignments as a zero, or assessing skills. Today’s climate can put health educators in the position of needing to defend their curricular choices. How do you deal with parents or community members that challenge your curriculum? We’ll use standard 4, Interpersonal Communication, to guide us as we consider what we do and why we do it.
