Preservice Teacher Candidates' Ideas for a Quality Clinical Experience in K-12 Urban and Suburban School Sites

Multiple ideas about how to make a clinical school site effective will be presented by preservice teacher candidates. Information from the research literature about quality clinical school sites will be shared with the audience. This will be followed by an alignment of such information with what current preservice teacher candidates are experiencing at their K-12 school sites. Perspective and ideas from these teacher candidates in urban and suburban school contexts (elementary, middle and high schools) about what works and what does not work will be discussed. The purpose of the presentation is to continue sharing ideas to in-service teachers and college faculty about what is key for clinical school sites to continue improving their context for teacher candidates.
