The Best of Both Worlds (Academics in Physical Education K-5)
Part of 2026 SHAPE America National Convention & ExpoPresented by Payton, Mr. Allen, Payton, Mr. Allen, & Thomas, Mr. Darren
Tuesday 17 March 2026·2:30 pm
The purpose of this presentation is to share standards-based activities that combine the physical education that kids enjoy, with math and literacy concepts. The objective is to support and reinforce core content areas while providing quality physical education. Participants will learn new games that are high energy, encourage thinking, and promote teamwork while implementing cross-curriculum content. School administrators will be thrilled to see the support of the physical education teacher "actively" contributing to reach school-wide academic goals in a gym setting.
