The Pulse of Us: Synchronized Movement for Connection and Co-Regulation
Part of 2026 SHAPE America National Convention & ExpoPresented by Mally, Dr. Kristi K., & Mally, Dr. Kristi K.
Wednesday 18 March 2026·10:45 am
What happens when we move together -- intentionally, rhythmically, and with others in mind? This session explores the power of synchronized movement as a tool for co-regulation, connection, and community-building. Grounded in polyvagal theory and supported by research on rhythm and relational learning, we’ll unpack how shared physical experiences can shape emotional safety, foster belonging, and support well-being. Through movement, reflection, and discussion, participants will examine how the body’s natural rhythms can be harnessed to create environments where regulation is shared, relationships are strengthened, and joy becomes contagious.
