The Resilient Educator: Wellness Strategies That Empower You and Your Students to Thrive
Behind every resilient student is a resilient educator, but today's teachers are overwhelmed, under-supported, and often quietly struggling through personal and professional battles. This interactive session will explore: 1) The ripple effect of educator burnout and family stress on student learning, behavior, and emotional regulation; and 2) Real-world stories and case studies that illustrate the emotional toll many educators carry, especially those who are also parents/caregivers, experiencing burnout, or survivors themselves. You'll be introduced to a trauma-aware, strengths-based framework called the THRIVE Method, designed by the presenter (current teacher, accredited life coach and survivor). This method not only helps educators regain control of their health and time. It also offers teachable tools you can embed into your health curriculum or advisory sessions to support students in building resilience and sharing those practices at home.
