Turning Passion Into Policy: Lessons from the Journey

Join us as we share our learning regarding state-level advocacy work for a credit hour policy for health education. In this interactive session we will explore real-world lessons learned from engaging in policy-related advocacy including strategies that worked, challenges that arose and unexpected learning. We will discuss how passion, relationships, networking, persistence, and strategy (among others) play critical roles in successful advocacy. Whether you are new to advocacy or a seasoned advocate, you will leave with insights, pitfalls to avoid and ideas for your advocacy efforts!
