Altered Books in Division II

An introduction to creating altered books with students, combining literacy, artistic expression, and upcycling to create memorable keepsakes. Participants will have an opportunity to experiment by starting an exemplar with various supplies and see examples of student work. Participants are asked to bring an old hard-cover book (picture books work well) that can be altered/wrecked - a selection will be available for those who are unable to bring their own. Optional: Bring any photographs, scrap-booking materials, etc. that you may want to include in your book. Additional materials will be provided! $15 to cover the cost of supplies, cash or e-transfer.
