Using the Alberta Envirothon and Inside Education resources to create new meaningful projects in science 9
Thursday 19 February 2026·5:30 pm
I have been teaching science 9 for 12 years and I have been a science 9 PAT writer for 8 of those years. For the past three years LCI has taken students to Inside Education Youth Summits and the Alberta Envirothon. This past year I tried to take what we learned at these summits and I have created new student projects that connect Biodiversity, Environmental Chemistry and the Electricity unit in the Science 9 curriculum. In this session I will talk about these summits, what we have learned and I will share resources to use in your classroom. 20 Participants
