Women and Other Underrepresented Composers for Wind Band

Does your band concert represent your musicians? Does it represent your audience? Need ideas where to start in diversifying your repertoire? Join Holly De Caigny, the Wind Orchestra Director at the University of Lethbridge, and Don Closson, owner of Music Direct, on an exploration of wind band pieces from grades 0.5 to 4+ written by women and diverse composers. Holly and Don will be joined onstage by members of the University of Lethbridge High School Honour Band, the University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra, and other community musicians from the Lethbridge area in performing selected works. Don Closson will have example scores, and order forms ready for you!
