STEM Meets SEL: Building Empathy Through Engineering with STEM Days (001)
Part of TCEAPresented by Speaker(s): Catlain Melendez
Experience our school s STEM Day where, instead of traditional academic interventions, one day each month is dedicated to engaging all students grades K-5 in hands-on, themed STEM challenges. These activities foster collaboration, perseverance, empathy, and creative problem solving. Learn how our school uses these challenges to teach socialemotional learning (SEL) and spark creativity in our students. In this session, you will discover how this consistent practice has evolved into a school-wide tradition for our KP Stars.
