Primary Teachers and all Learning Support Staff

Systematic Synthetic Phonics instruction has been identified in Australia and other English-speaking countries as the most successful approach to the teaching of reading and spelling, particularly for students with specific learning difficulties. Most teachers ‘do’ phonics, but can instruction and student gains be optimised? In this course, participants will learn about the features of high-quality phonics instruction and become familiar with terrific programs, strategies, multisensory activities and resources they can use in designing an effective program.

“It is the first P.L. in a long long time that I haven’t been checking in with my watch.”

Just a big Thank you for giving us the opportunity to attend the Critical Agenda Workshop yesterday.  David presented a great program, lots of handy strategies and he was very engaging and supportive. Highly recommended.  I was very happy we did not have to do any Role play’s.

Inspirational Speakers –  the knowledge gained will be so beneficial in my classrooms
