Train-the-Trainer: DYSLEXIA โ€” Best Targeted Interventions for Greater Literacy Success, Grades K-6

Presented by Bureau of Education & Research (BER)

Tuesday, July 7, 2026ยท9:00 AMPast Event

The Bureau of Education & Research (BER) presents this Train-the-Trainer institute focused on the most effective dyslexia interventions for greater literacy success in grades Kโ€“6. This intensive program equips participants with the knowledge, materials, and facilitation skills needed to deliver structured literacy and dyslexia intervention training within their own schools and districts. The curriculum addresses evidence-based approaches to identifying and supporting students with dyslexia, including systematic phonics instruction, multisensory teaching techniques, fluency-building strategies, and assessment practices for monitoring student progress. As awareness of dyslexia has grown and many states have enacted dyslexia screening mandates, the demand for trained educators who can support struggling readers has increased dramatically. BER's train-the-trainer model allows districts to build sustainable internal expertise, creating a cadre of trained professionals who can provide ongoing support and coaching to classroom teachers working with students who have dyslexia and related reading difficulties.
