Presented by Berry Street Education Model

Berry Street invites early childhood educators and leaders to an information session about the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) Early Years program, a trauma-informed professional development offering built on over a decade of longitudinal research into how adverse childhood experiences affect learning and development. The BSEM Early Years program is a 15-hour training course that equips educators in early learning settings with evidence-informed strategies to support children's self-regulation, build strong and secure relationships, and create learning environments that function as therapeutic spaces where every child can develop the foundations they need to thrive. Delivered across five modules that can be completed in flexible three-hour sessions, the program is available both in person and online. With over 92,000 educators trained across Australia, the Berry Street Education Model has demonstrated positive outcomes in student engagement, academic growth, wellbeing, and school culture. This information session provides an opportunity to learn how BSEM Early Years can be implemented in your service, ask questions of the Berry Street events team, and understand how trauma-informed practice can transform early childhood education from the ground up.
