The Bureau of Education & Research (BER) presents this intensive four-day National Train-the-Trainer Institute on Co-Teaching That Works, scheduled for July 13–16, 2026. This comprehensive program equips educators with the expertise and materials needed to lead high-quality co-teaching professional development within their own schools and districts, building sustainable capacity for inclusive instructional practices across grades K–12. Participants will develop deep understanding of research-based co-teaching models and learn how to deliver engaging, effective training sessions that help teaching teams implement genuine collaborative instruction. The institute covers practical working definitions of co-teaching, key characteristics of an effective co-teaching framework that bridges learning gaps, strategies for establishing successful co-teaching partnerships, and common pitfalls to avoid. A co-teaching rubric is introduced as a tool for targeting the professional development needs of staff and evaluating implementation quality. A distinctive feature of this Train-the-Trainer program is the comprehensive set of resources participants receive, including a three-year subscription to a complete K–6 or 6–12 video streaming package featuring professionally recorded classroom footage of educators teaching students in real situations. These licensed training materials allow participants to demonstrate model co-teaching techniques through outstanding video resources during their own school or district training sessions.
