Growth Coaching International's Introduction to Leadership Coaching is a transformative two-day workshop held in Sydney CBD on September 15-16, 2026, designed to equip school leaders with evidence-based coaching skills that fundamentally change how they develop and support their staff. Since 2002, Growth Coaching International (GCI) has been exclusively focused on providing coaching-focused professional learning to educators, with over 40,000 educators having engaged in their programmes across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Spanish-speaking regions. This practical, evidence-based course provides in-depth learning and hands-on experience applying coaching approaches as a highly effective way of leading in schools—fundamentally about how to best support and grow the capacity, motivation, and wellbeing of others through more intentional conversations. Rather than telling staff what to do, coaching leadership develops people's ability to think through challenges, generate their own solutions, and take ownership of their professional growth. The workshop addresses coaching across all areas of the GCI Global Framework for Coaching in Education, including educational leadership, teaching practice, student success and wellbeing, and community engagement. At $990 plus GST, the two-day intensive provides school leaders with immediately applicable coaching tools and frameworks. Participants interested in deeper learning can explore GCI's related offerings including The Impact Cycle, delivered in partnership with Instructional Coaching Group. For principals, deputy principals, heads of department, and instructional coaches who want to move from directive management to empowering leadership, this workshop provides the skills and confidence to make coaching conversations a central part of their leadership practice.
