The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) hosts its 4th Annual Summer Virtual Conference on June 23–24, 2026, with the theme 'From Revolution to Resilience: Exploring America's Past, Present, and Future.' This free virtual event explores the American story from the birth of the nation in 1776 to the enduring impact of September 11, examining themes of revolution, challenge, and resilience that continue to shape society. NCSS Past-President Jenny Morgan and Vice President David Kendrick are inviting social studies educators to submit proposals for sessions, with a deadline of April 8, 2026. The conference brings together social studies professionals from across the country for two days of presentations, discussions, and networking, all accessible from home. NCSS is the largest professional association in the United States devoted solely to social studies education, serving educators who teach history, geography, economics, political science, sociology, and other related subjects. This virtual conference complements the larger NCSS Annual Conference and provides an accessible, cost-free opportunity for professional learning during the summer months when many educators are planning for the year ahead.
