This free NSTA web seminar celebrates the 36th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope's launch aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery, featuring new images and recent science highlights presented by Max Mutchler from the Space Telescope Science Institute. The session offers science educators a fascinating window into ongoing discoveries from one of humanity's most iconic scientific instruments. Scheduled for April 23, 2026 from 7:00–8:00 PM ET, the webinar is designed for science teachers across all levels—from preschool through postsecondary and informal education settings. Participants will explore the latest imagery and scientific findings from Hubble, providing rich content that can inspire classroom discussions about space science, astronomy, and the ongoing value of space-based observation. The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) is the largest professional organisation for science educators worldwide, dedicated to improving science teaching and learning through professional development, resources, and advocacy. All attendees who participate in the live seminar and complete the end-of-programme survey receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points toward their professional learning.
