Presented by University of Waikato PD
The University of Waikato's professional development sessions extend into November 2026, offering New Zealand educators continued access to weekly online sessions from one of the country's premier teacher education institutions. Running on Fridays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm throughout the monthâwith sessions on November 6, 13, 20, and 27âthese compact one-hour sessions maintain the accessible format that has characterised the university's PD programme throughout the year. As Term 4 draws to a close, these sessions provide a timely opportunity for teachers to reflect on the year's practice, engage with fresh research perspectives, and consider professional learning goals for the coming year. The University of Waikato's Faculty of Education continues to bring particular expertise in bicultural education, Te Reo MÄori medium teaching, and inquiry-based learning aligned to New Zealand's unique curriculum frameworks. Whether used as standalone professional learning or as an exploratory step toward the university's broader qualificationsâfrom short courses completable in nine weeks to postgraduate diplomas and master's programmesâthese sessions offer flexible, research-informed engagement for educators across career stages. The November programme rounds out a full year of professional development opportunities that have given New Zealand teachers consistent access to university-based expertise without requiring significant time away from their schools.
