Programming for the Stage 6 syllabus

The English Teachers Association of NSW (ETA NSW) presents 'Programming for the Stage 6 Syllabus,' a three-session online professional learning series running across Thursdays 12, 19, and 26 March 2026 from 4:00–5:30pm. With NESA's release of the new Stage 6 English syllabus, schools must now begin planning for implementation in 2026/2027, and this series provides the practical guidance educators need to make that transition confidently. This timely series walks participants through the key changes in the new Stage 6 English syllabus across Studies, Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2, and provides practical frameworks for programming, planning, and assessment. Participants work with scope and sequence templates, assessment schedule templates, and syllabus requirements planners to build programmes that align with the new curriculum expectations. Recordings of each session are available for 30 days after the course, offering flexibility for educators who cannot attend all live sessions. ETA NSW membership is required for registration, reflecting the association's role as the professional body for English teachers in New South Wales, committed to stimulating excellence in English teaching and learning.
