Introduction to MTSS Network

Think Forward Educators' Introduction to MTSS Network offers Australian educators a structured entry point into Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), a comprehensive framework for organising academic and behavioural support so that every student receives the right level of intervention at the right time. Led by Stephanie Dehghani and the Think Forward Educators team, this program introduces the foundational principles of MTSS — universal screening, data-based decision making, tiered intervention, and progress monitoring — and contextualises them for Australian schools. MTSS has a strong evidence base in international education, particularly in the United States where it evolved from Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks, and Think Forward Educators is doing important work in translating these principles for the Australian educational context.
