Read2Learn - Information Session

When you register for this event you will be added to the Think Forward Educators email list. Join us for an introduction to the Read2Learn materials. This session will provide a guided walkthrough of selected units, highlighting how the resources can be implemented effectively within your school context. Project Leaders Melanie Hart and Samantha Charlton, together with experienced teachers from participating schools, will respond to questions and provide practical guidance for educators seeking to embed Read2Learn within the curriculum and strengthen whole-school literacy practices. Melanie Hart has been involved with the Read2Learn project for a number of years and has developed extensive expertise in implementing knowledge-rich curriculum and evidence-informed practices at both classroom and whole-school levels. Throughout her career, she has held roles from Classroom Teacher to Instructional Coach and Principal, building deep experience in curriculum leadership and school improvement. She is now based at Esperance Primary School as a classroom teacher. Through her work with Read2Learn, Melanie contributes to the development and implementation of high-quality curriculum materials, supporting schools across the nation to strengthen instructional practice. Samantha is a Learning Specialist at Templestowe Heights Primary School. She has recently worked with the Department of Education to ensure Maths curriculum materials are aligned with the VTLM 2.0 and reflective of evidence-informed practices. Samantha cares about ensuring teachers are able to efficiently and effectively help students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to have as many opportunities in life as possible.
