Jim Knight, Ph.D., is the founder and senior partner of the Instructional Coaching Group (ICG) and a research associate at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning. He is the author of numerous books on instructional coaching including *The Impact Cycle*, *Instructional Coaching*, and *The Definitive Guide to Instructional Coaching*. Knight is recognised as having coined the term 'instructional coaching' and has spent over 20 years researching professional learning and coaching.
