Physics things you do not find in books

The aim is to provide ways to connect recent research developments in physics with the classroom. For example, the physics Nobel prize in 2022 can be connected to the randomness of radioactive decay and data from the Webb space telescope can be used when discussing redshift. Similarly, Noether's theorem can be used to prove energy and momentum conservation. My goal is to enthuse physics teachers and their A-level students by discussing as many ideas from "just beyond" the curriculum as possible in the allotted time and provide concrete connections to the curriculum.
