Technicians: Support for new technicians

This workshop will offer new technicians some insight into: > the role of the school/college science technician > preparing practicals and supporting teachers > maintaining science equipment and stock  > assisting with Risk Assessments and H&S compliance > being part of the science dept team > communicating with teachers and students > time management > where to reach out for support ..... and many more hints and tips during the session. By the end of the workshop, new technicians should feel clearer about their role and expectations, be more confident with basic Health & Safety, know where to go for support/resources and hopefully leave with a practical checklist to use in their first weeks of their role.
