Engaging Students in Mathematical Thinking Classrooms
Part of ATOMIC Conference March 2026
Monday 23 March 2026·2:40 pm
How do we establish classrooms where students are engaged in learning mathematics? We’ll look at teacher moves and routines that you can use right away to engage students in mathematical thinking, collaboration, and discourse. We'll merge vertical thinking, effective teacher moves, and protocols for engagement that will allow all students to develop into mathematical thinkers in fun and effective ways.
