Pathways to College and Career Readiness

With only 30% of students pursuing fields requiring calculus and over 30% not attending college, our current math programs do not meet all our learners’ needs. This session explores how mathematics course sequences can align with students’ interests and postsecondary goals. We examine Connecticut’s math landscape, student experiences, and workforce needs, and share work from other states to develop multiple pathways beyond calculus. Participants reflect on their school’s offerings and identify steps to ensure math supports every student’s future success.
