Vibe Coding for Interactive Math Learning
This session introduces teachers to vibe coding. a natural-language approach to creating simple, interactive math tools without needing programming skills. Vibe coding allows you to describe a mathematical idea in plain English and have an AI system generate a visual, simulation, or interactive experience that students can explore. Participants will: • Understand the core concept of vibe coding. using conversational language to produce interactive math experiences. • See how a wide range of math concepts. from early numeracy to advanced modeling. can be turned into dynamic explorations with just a prompt. • Examine how interactive tools support conceptual understanding, inquiry, and student agency. • Leave with examples they can use immediately and guidance for inviting students to create their own interactives. The goal is to make interactive math accessible to any teacher. no coding background required.
