Participants will learn about high school science outreach activities offered through Red Deer Polytechnic and the Red Hot Science outreach team. The session will feature an outreach activity for high school physics courses. It will include a hands-on physics experiment to determine the weight of an electron using an oil drop experiment and an e/m apparatus. The lab may also include additional demonstrations of related concepts. For example, Stokes’ Law, electrostatic attraction, centripetal force, and the motor effect.
