Lines of Solidarity - Centering Racialized Teachers' Shared Journeys
Lines of Solidarity – Centering Racialized Teachers’ Shared Journeys is a collaborative session presented by Red Deer City ATA Local 60 & Red Deer Catholic ATA Local 80’s DEHR Committee and the Provincial ATA Together We Rise: Racialized Teachers Network (DEN). This session explores three key areas: the lived experiences of racialized teachers in Alberta, career development and professional networking, and teacher wellness and sustainability. Through intentionally designed learning activities, participants will examine systemic challenges and strengths that shape their professional lives. The session fosters connection, centers the lived experiences of racialized educators, and offers practical strategies for growth and resilience. Grounded in solidarity, it creates a supportive space for educators to engage in collective learning, empowerment, and community-building across roles and career stages.
