Math in the Wild: Taking Numbers Outside
Part of CATCA 2026
Thursday 19 February 2026·8:00 pm
What happens when we take math beyond the classroom walls? Inspired by the work of Juliet Robertson, Gillian Judson, and Rachel Tidd, this session shows how students can use natural objects to explore mathematical concepts. You’ll learn how to assess student understanding through observation, conversation, and hands-on demonstrations.
