Teaching and Learning to Write for the "Real World"

The session showcases how to turn a traditional substantive course into one where students co-author a publication for practitioners in the field, potentially for pay. Participants should bring a course syllabus and will brainstorm types of publications and publishers to target. Participants will begin to think about how to restructure their course to engage the students in learning to research and write and to scaffold the writing process to the learners’ level as they advance.
