Translanguaging: creando puentes comunicativos y cultivando el multilingüísmo

The session will focus on translanguaging curriculum and instructional practices that help build and expand students’ linguistic repertoires in heritage and bilingual classrooms across grade levels while maintaining culturally relevant and rigorous learning experiences. The presenter will share examples of how translanguaging opportunities are intentionally embedded into instruction to support student engagement and empower students to take an active role in leading their own learning. Grade Levels: 6-8, 9-12 Language of Session: Bilingual (Spanish/English)
