Bridging Disciplines: A Scientific Approach to Literary Analysis

Math and Science-oriented learners often face challenges when navigating the subtleties of literary analysis. However, this cross-curricular approach reinforces their comprehension by framing textual interpretation as a systematic process akin to a scientific investigation. Through the application of scientific methodologies—such as forming questions, developing hypotheses, making observations, and drawing conclusions—students who typically favour concrete, black and white thinking are empowered to find their voice within the English Language Arts classroom.
