Unpacking Teacher Candidates' Beliefs About AI: Considerations For Current Educators

In this session, participants will gain insights into teacher candidates' beliefs about using AI in education through exploration of anecdotal evidence. What do current teacher candidates appreciate about AI and what are their fears? Do they feel that their K-12 education prepared them for a profession that is currently grappling with how to engage with AI? What can be done? This session will create space for considering beliefs about AI in education while exploring ways K-12 schools can thoughtfully incorporate AI into lessons.
