Body Mapping & Meaning-Making in English Language Arts
Part of GETCA 2026
Thursday 26 February 2026·4:00 pm
Body mapping is an arts-based activity that invites individuals to attend to, and visually represent, their somatic experiences. This interactive presentation will explore how body mapping might be integrated into an English Language Arts (ELA) classroom as a pedagogical practice to support the authentic close reading of a literary text, and help students reclaim authority over the meaning-making process.
