Daily Practice of Daily Sketch
Part of GETCA 2026
Thursday 26 February 2026·5:20 pm
During this session, I will introduce you to a fundamental daily practice that I use in my high school art courses called "daily sketch." I explain the process, theory and assessment of daily sketch while talking about how to adapt it for use in your own class. Afterwards, we will spend the remainder of the class drawing several daily sketches while I do some mini art history lessons for you as you draw! Lastly, I will share a list of international and local historical and contemporary artists you can reference that students will love. Please come prepared with a few drawing tools and paper or a sketchbook.
