Is it ADHD or Could it Be Something Else?

Sometimes students struggle with attention and focus, but it doesn’t totally fit with ADHD. So what is it? Researchers are suggesting that there is another attention disorder aside from ADHD. Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS) is often diagnosed as ADHD - Inattentive Presentation (formerly ADD). The problem is that students with CDS have a different set of needs from students with ADHD-I. Learn about the differences between ADHD and CDS and how we can support these students in the classroom.
