Ready, Set, Focus! Executive Function for the Classroom

Executive dysfunction has been labelled as the current epidemic in schools by many researchers. We see it and feel it every day. In this session, you will gain a deeper understanding of the why behind common behaviours. I’ll dig into my personal experience with ADHD and the current research surrounding executive function, as well as a deeper dive into the components of executive function. I’ll share strategies and tools to use in the classroom that help grow executive function skills, including simple steps like visuals and timers, as well as games and activities that focus on developing these skills.
